Hints and Tips

  • Don't spend long on this form; it doesn’t have to be beautifully crafted. Let us know what you genuinely need. Try not to spend more than 10 minutes on it.
  • Tell us: What you want to do, who you want to help, how you are going to do it, and why it needs to be done.
  • The average grant size from our main grants programme is £6,000 - £7,000, and we may be able to offer in excess of £10,000 on occasion.
  • Please note we cannot award retrospective grants and you are expected to start using the grant within three months of award - check the dates when the funding will be awarded.
  • If you have received funding from us, you do not need to complete the 'What does your organisation do?' field, as we will already have this on file. Just tell us of any changes.
  • Don't worry - if we have any questions, we will be in touch.

  • A bank account in the name of your group which requires two signatories / dual authorisation.

  • That the salaries and benefits of any paid Directors are approved by a majority of non-executive Directors and are reasonable and proportionate to the work they do and the financial position of the organisation.
